The Youshiko YC9392 combines an 8" TRUE BLACK colour display, a solar-assisted 7-in-1 outdoor sensor (YC1136) and a separate wireless temperature/humidity sensor (YC80), included as standard.
Monitor outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV index and light intensity, alongside indoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure and calculated weather indices. WiFi connectivity lets you publish local readings to Weather Underground and Weathercloud for viewing from an internet-connected phone, tablet or computer.
The console also displays time, calendar, moon phase and sunrise/sunset times, with internet clock synchronisation, weather forecast icons, historical records and customisable alerts.
The YC9392 combines a full set of outdoor weather readings with a separate wireless indoor sensor included in the box and a solar-driven ventilation fan inside the outdoor radiation shield.
The YC80 lets you monitor temperature and humidity in a suitable indoor location, such as a conservatory, office or garage, while placing the console where it is easiest to read.
The YC9392 shares the supplied sensor and feature set of the YC9391, with a different console layout and button placement. Choose the display arrangement you prefer.
The YC1136 combines a thermo-hygrometer, wind speed cups, wind direction vane, rain gauge, UV and light sensors. Its built-in solar power helps extend battery life and drives a convection fan inside the radiation shield to support airflow around the temperature/humidity sensor.
The outdoor sensor requires 3 × AA batteries, which are not included. It transmits readings directly to the console using 868 MHz RF, with a range of up to 150 metres in open terrain.
The supplied YC80 measures temperature and humidity separately from the console, giving you more freedom to choose both the monitoring location and display position.
The YC80 requires 2 × AA batteries, which are not included. Its stated wireless range is up to 150 metres in open terrain. Buildings and other obstructions can reduce reception.
The mounting pole shown in product images is not included.
The 8" colour display separates wind, temperature, humidity, forecast, pressure, rainfall and sunlight information into distinct areas. Adjust the contrast for your viewing angle and select Hi, Lo or Off brightness.
Time, calendar, weekday, moon phase and sunrise/sunset times sit alongside the weather readings. Moon phase can be configured for the Northern or Southern hemisphere.
Connect the console to your WiFi network and configure Weather Underground or Weathercloud using the setup interface. Once configured, uploaded weather data can be viewed through those platforms from internet-connected devices.
The outdoor sensor and YC80 communicate with the console over RF, not WiFi. The console's WiFi connection provides online weather upload and internet time synchronisation.
Choose gust or average wind speed and view real-time or dominant wind direction in degrees or 16 compass directions. Trend indicators, Beaufort scale and wind-level information help you interpret changing conditions.
Rain rate and hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and total rainfall records let you track current rain and accumulated precipitation. The seven-day rainfall history bar chart provides a visual overview of recent rainfall.
Relative or absolute pressure readings sit alongside forecast icons and calculated outdoor feels-like temperature (THW Index), heat index, wind chill and dew point.
View UV index readings from 0–16 with UV level indicators from LIGHT to EXTREME. Light intensity can be displayed in Klux, Kfc or W/m², and the console also provides a sunburn-time indication in minutes.
Sunburn-time indications are estimates, not a guarantee of safe exposure. Use appropriate sun protection rather than relying on the display alone.
Set high/low indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity limits, plus weather index, high wind speed, high daily rainfall and pressure-drop alerts. Flashing LCD indicators highlight configured alert conditions.
Review maximum/minimum memory and hourly records from the previous 24 hours. The console also includes a buzzer alarm with ice pre-alert functionality, weather-data calibration through the setup interface and firmware update support.
Install the outdoor sensor following the manual's positioning, orientation and levelling guidance. Keep the rain collector and solar panel clear, and check mounting security as part of routine maintenance.
Use the supplied UK adapter to power the console. The outdoor sensor requires 3 × AA batteries and the YC80 requires 2 × AA batteries; these are not included. Refer to the manual and battery compartment markings for the console backup-battery requirement.
