In Europe, two signal types are in use. The MSF signal is employed in the UK and Ireland, transmitted from Cumbria (UK), while the rest of Europe relies on the DCF-77 signal, transmitted from Mainflingen, located approximately 25km southeast of Frankfurt (Germany).
The MSF radio signal serves as a dedicated standard frequency and time broadcast, providing a precise and dependable source of UK civil time. DCF77, on the other hand, is a German longwave time signal and standard frequency radio station that carries an amplitude-modulated, pulse-width coded 1 bit/s data signal.

You can choose between a 12-hour or 24-hour time format. Seems to be working well after a few weeks and the outdoor sensor has much better signal than my last weather station. I also like the fact that this one can run from the power supply, without batteries.
