The Youshiko YC9471 is a professional WiFi weather station combining an 8.3" TRUE BLACK colour display with a wireless 7-in-1 outdoor sensor (YC1137). Monitor wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, outdoor temperature, humidity, UV index and light intensity, alongside indoor temperature, indoor humidity and barometric pressure.
The wide landscape console also displays sunrise and sunset times, moon phase, weather forecast icons and calculated weather indices. WiFi connectivity lets you publish local readings to Weather Underground and Weathercloud for viewing from an internet-connected phone, tablet or computer.
Choose the YC9471 for its larger 8.3" TRUE BLACK display, automatic backlight dimming and sunrise/sunset readout. It uses the same YC1137 7-in-1 outdoor sensor as the YC9470, while presenting weather and time information in a wider landscape layout.
For gardeners, homeowners and weather enthusiasts, the station brings local wind, rainfall, temperature, humidity and sunlight information together on one console. Online upload lets you follow published readings remotely, while optional YC80 sensors extend temperature and humidity monitoring to additional locations.
The YC1137 outdoor unit combines wind speed cups, a wind direction vane, rain gauge, temperature and humidity sensor, and UV and light sensors. It sends readings directly to the console using 868 MHz RF transmission.
The sensor requires 3 × AA batteries, which are not included. Follow the manual's installation and positioning guidance to obtain representative readings. The stated wireless range is up to 150 metres in open terrain; buildings and other obstructions can affect reception.
Connect the console to your WiFi network and configure your chosen weather platform through the setup interface. The station can publish readings to Weather Underground and Weathercloud for viewing from internet-connected devices.
The outdoor sensor communicates with the console over RF, not WiFi. The console's WiFi connection is used for online weather upload and internet time synchronisation.
The 8.3" TRUE BLACK colour display separates weather readings into distinct areas. Adjust the contrast to suit your viewing angle and select Hi, Lo or Auto brightness, with an auto-dim function for the backlight.
Sunrise and sunset times sit alongside the clock, calendar, weekday and moon phase. The moon phase display can be configured for the Northern or Southern hemisphere.
View UV index readings from 0–16, supported by UV level indicators from LIGHT to EXTREME. Light intensity can be displayed in Klux, Kfc or W/m², and the console also provides a sunburn-time indication in minutes.
Sunburn-time indications are estimates, not a guarantee of safe exposure. Use appropriate sun protection rather than relying on the display alone.
Choose gust or average wind speed and view real-time or dominant wind direction in degrees or 16 compass directions. Beaufort scale and wind-level information add context to changing wind conditions.
Rain rate and hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and total rainfall records help you follow current rain and accumulated precipitation. Relative or absolute pressure readings and forecast icons sit alongside calculated feels-like temperature, heat index, wind chill and dew point.
Set high/low indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity limits, together with alerts for weather index, high wind speed, high daily rainfall and pressure drop. Flashing LCD indicators highlight configured alert conditions, and the clock includes a buzzer alarm with ice pre-alert functionality.
Review maximum/minimum records and hourly history from the previous 24 hours. Add up to seven optional YC80 sensors for additional temperature and humidity monitoring, and access weather-data calibration through the setup interface.
